Anna Kushner was born in Philadelphia and first traveled to Cuba in 1999. Her work has appeared in Wild River Review and The Bucks County Writer, and her translations have appeared in Words Without Borders and are forthcoming in The Virginia Quarterly as well as the anthology Another Sky: Voices of Conscience from Around the World (Profile Books). She has translated the work of Guillermo Rosales and Norberto Fuentes.
