Tom Clark

Tom Clark is a member of the core faculty in poetics at New College of California. And, after serving as the poetry editor of The Paris Review from 1963–73, Clark has, for the last ten years, been a book reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle. Besides his own poetry publications he is also the author of three biographies: Charles Olson: The Allegory of a Poet’s Life (Norton, 1991); The Poetry Beat (U of MI, 1990); Late Returns: A Memoir of Ted Berrigan (Tombouctou, 1984).
